| Removing |
| – | Move lock carrier to service position → Rep. Gr.50. |
| – | Remove alternator → Rep. Gr.27. |
| – | Remove power steering vane pump → Rep. Gr.48. |
| – | Remove air conditioner compressor from bracket and secure to body with suitable material (e.g. welding wire) → Chapter. |
| – | Unbolt bracket from cylinder block. |
| Installing |
| When installing, always note: |
| l | Renew securing bolts. |
| l | Observe securing bolts tightening sequence. |
| t | Tightening sequence: first tighten hexagon bolt → Item, then hexagon bolt → Item and finally hexagon bolts → Item and → Item. |

| Removing |
| – | Remove power steering vane pump → Rep. Gr.48. |
| – | Unscrew hexagon bolts → Item by a few turns and drive back threaded bush on air conditioner compressor. Continue unscrewing hexagon bolts. |
| – | Remove air conditioner compressor from bracket and secure to body with suitable item (e.g. uncoated wire) → Chapter. |

| q | Always observe during installation: lightly coat sleeve with polycarbamide grease -G 052 142 A2- before installation and then press in. |
