–  Press downwards with finger tips in compartment -1-.
  N80-0305
–  Pull trim off controls -arrows-.
  N80-0306
–  Remove bolts -arrows-.
–  Remove driver side footwell cover → Rep. Gr.68.
–  Remove centre console → Rep. Gr.68.

–  Release cables on controls -arrows-.
–  Pull off connectors -1- and -2-.
As soon as controls have been removed, check function of cables for heated air and fresh air.

–  To do this, move wire ends of cables back and forth in direction of arrow.
–  Replace damaged or stiff cables.
