Basic setting 04

Note

If the display flashes after “ignition is switched on” although no faults were shown in function “Read fault memory 02”, perform function “Code control unit 07” followed by function “Basic setting 04”.

–	Connect vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051A- or vehicle diagnosis and service information system -VAS 5052- → Chapter.

–	Select vehicle system → Chapter.

–	Interrogate fault memory → Chapter and rectify all faults shown.

–	Erase fault memory → Chapter.

–	Check code → Chapter and correct if necessary.

–	Press “04 Basic setting”-arrow- on the display.

Indicated on display

–	Press 0 key in number block of display -arrow-.

–	Confirm entry with Q key.

Note

When all control motors have moved to the end position, the Climatronic control unit -J255-stores all the potentiometer values, assuming in this way the basic settings of all control motors.

Note

The movement of the four positioning motors can be followed on the display. However, the changes in the feedback values do not indicate a faulty motor.

–	Read fault memory again → Chapter.
