  Note
t  Every Climatronic control unit -J255- replacement part must be coded after installing.
t  Perform basic setting 04 after each coding → Chapter.
t  If the appropriate vehicle code or the appropriate equipment level is not displayed, the Climatronic control unit -J255- must be coded as follows:
t  The display of the control and display unit for Climatronic air conditioning -E87- flashes 15 seconds if the Climatronic control unit -J255- has not been coded.
–  Connect vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051A- or vehicle diagnosis and service information system -VAS 5052- → Chapter.
–  Select vehicle system → Chapter.

–  Press 07 Coding control unit on display -arrow-.
–  Enter code number and confirm with Q key.
