Gear oil specification

Gearboxes up to gearbox build date 22 10 5:

• ‒ Turn steering onto full left lock
• ‒ → Remove plug (arrow) for checking gearbox oil differential housing with e.g. 17 mm AF hexagon bit socket, universal joint, extension and T bar.

Gearboxes from gearbox build date 23 10 5:

• ‒ → Remove plug (arrow) for checking gearbox oil from gearbox housing.

Note:

• ‒ For Diesel engine use e.g. 17 AF hexagon bit socket, universal joint, extension and T bar.

The oil level is correct when the gearbox is full to the lower edge of the filler hole.

• ‒ Fit plug (arrow).

When filling with new oil note following:

• ‒ Remove plug (arrow).
• ‒ Top up oil to lower edge of filler hole.
• ‒ Fit plug (arrow).
