| Hoses are secured with spring-type clips. In case of repair, only use spring-type clips. |

| Hose clip pliers -V.A.G 1921- or spring-type clip pliers -VAS 5024 A- are recommended for installation of spring-type clips. |
| Test for leaks in cooling system using cooling system tester -V.A.G 1274- and adapter -V.A.G 1274/3- and adapter -V.A.G 1274/34-. |
