The diesel direct injection system control unit -J248- is equipped with a fault memory. Before starting repairs, adjustments and fault finding, the fault memory must be interrogated → Chapter and final control diagnosis carried out → Chapter. |

| Certain tests may lead to a fault being detected by the control unit and stored. Therefore, after completing all checks and repairs, interrogate the fault memory and erase if necessary → Chapter, Interrogating fault memory. |
