t  U/J extension and socket, 10 mm -3220-
  W00-0329
t  Adapter set -V.A.G 1594C-
  W00-10008
t  Voltage tester -V.A.G 1527B-
Test prerequisites
l  Fuse box/battery glow plug strip fuse OK
l  The battery voltage must be at least 11.5 V.
l  All electrical consumers, e.g. lights and rear window heating, must be switched off.
Test procedure
–  Pull glow plug connectors from glow plugs.

–  Connect voltage tester -V.A.G 1527B- cable to battery positive (+), using clips from auxiliary measuring set -V.A.G 1594C-.
–  Place test probe of voltage tester -V.A.G 1527B- on each glow plug one after the other.
LED lights up: Glow plug OK.
If LED does not light up: fit a new glow plug
–  Remove and install glow plugs with U/J extension and socket, 10 mm -3220-.
Specified torque: 15 Nm.
