ITT Mark 30 IE self-diagnosis function
Fault finding with fault reader V.A.G 1551 or with tester VAS 5051 on ABS, ITT Mark 30 IE (flow chart)

Start

Connect fault reader V.A.G 1551 and select 1-rapid data transfer



or


Connect tester VAS 5051 and select vehicle self-diagnosis

Compare control unit identification

Select address word 03-Brake electronics

Interrogate fault memory 02

Rectify faults using fault table

No faults recognized


Read measured value block 08

Perform final control diagnosis 03


Replace comp.

1. Perform test drive at more than 20 km/h

2. Interrogate fault memory 02 again

3. "No faults recognized" is displayed again

Perform directed entry of electrical tests

Perform all test steps of electrical check => from Page 01-265

Identification not OK.

Service hydraulic/mechanical parts of brake system

Renew control unit

- Connect fault reader V.A.G 1551 or tester VAS 5051 and interrogate fault memory 02 again.

- Erase fault memory (05)

- Perform test drive at more than 20 km/h (13 mph) and perform a ABS regulation.

- Interrogate fault memory again after test drive. If "No fault recognized" appears on display of fault reader V.A.G 1551 or tester VAS 5051 after rectifying faults and performing test drive, the self-diagnosis is completed.
