Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-
t
Torque wrench -V.A.G 1332-
Removing:
–
Disconnect earth strap at battery.
–
Unclip line
-1-
from bracket
-2-
.
–
Unscrew hexagon bolt
-3-
and remove bracket
-2-
.
–
Release terminal 50 connector
-1-
and pull disconnect.
–
Remove plastic cap
-2-
and disconnect wire from solenoid switch terminal 30.
–
Remove hexagon bolt
-1-
.
–
Remove hexagon nut
-4-
.
Note
On some vehicles the bolts
-2-
and
-3-
are secured with a clip.
–
Unscrew hexagon bolt
-3-
and remove bolt
-2-
.
–
Take starter out downwards.
Installing:
–
Insert starter.
–
Insert hexagon bolts
-1-
and
-3-
and tighten hand-tight.
–
Insert hexagon bolt
-2-
and tighten hexagon nut
-4-
hand-tight.
–
Tighten hexagon bolts
-1-
and
-3-
and hexagon nut
-4-
.
Specified torques
→ Rep. Gr.34
Note
If necessary, secure bolts
-2-
and
-3-
with a clip.
–
Reconnect terminal 50 connector
-1-
.
–
Tighten wire terminal from solenoid switch (terminal 30) to 13 Nm and fit plastic cap
-2-
.
–
Install bracket
-2-
and tighten hexagon bolt
-arrow-
.
–
Clip line
-1-
into bracket
-2-
.
