| Open the rear door and support it. |

| Place a small screwdriver underneath the spring clip -2-. |
| –
| Raise the spring clip -2- enough to allow it to move over the ball joint housing to the -direction of arrow-. |

| Pull the rear door shock absorber -1- from the ball pins -3- and -4-. |
| After removing the shock absorber -1-, immediately move the spring clip -2- backwards. |
WARNING | You must install the shock absorber carefully. The spring clip must not be completely disengaged from the ball joint housing; otherwise, it will be damaged. The shock absorber may disengage from pins -3- or -4- and cause a serious accident. |
