Cross support/Instruments panel - removal and installation

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Torque wrench 2 to 10 Nm -VAG 1783-

t	Torque wrench - 40 to 20 Nm (enc. 3/8") -VAG 1410-

t	Torque wrench - 5 to 50 Nm (fit. 1/2") -VAG 1331-

WARNING

Before making any work in the electric system, it is necessary to disconnect the battery's mass cable. → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.

Note

t	Check if the vehicle has a coded radio, if so, request the anti-theft code before disconnecting the mass cable from the battery.

t	When reconnecting the battery, check if the vehicle's equipment (radio, clock, electric locks, electric windows, etc.), according to the repair guide and/or instructions of use.
