The condition for a good craft painting is that the workplace,
the tools and the pieces of equipment are always in clean condition.
In order to keep the paint as free from dust as possible, it is indispensible
to install a good ventilation and exhaust system. |
This is also necessary in order to prevent the formation of
explosive mixtures of air and vapors of solvent. In the painting cabinet
(painting compartment) there should be a permanent overpressure. Therefore
an airflow speed of 0,3 m/s is sufficient. Higher speeds cause failures
in the process, such as, for example: loss of shine, formation of
wrinkles and an excessively quick drying of the surfaces. |
The products must be maintained and handled according to manufacturer's
instructions, to prevent the emergence of failures in the process
or drying and to maintain the warranty against perforation due to
corrosion. |
The room temperature must be between 20 and 25 °C. Lower
or higher temperatures may cause pores and a bad-quality process.
Due to the high air humidity, damage may occur to the paint, such
as, for example: stains in the layers of paint (mat layer), adherence
failures and craters. |
t
| The part to be painted may not contain remains from sanding
and salts. |
t
| The humidity of sanding must dry well. This takes approx. 2
hours at an ambient temperature of +20 °C. |
t
| The part to be painted must be clean, without oiliness and
dry. |
t
| Also avoid and remove sweat from the hands on the part to be
painted. |
t
| The part to be painted must be at the same temperature of the
environment at the time of application of the material, this way condensation
of water is prevented. |
t
| The air spray must be dry. Oil and water drip trays must be
emptied and controlled at regular intervals. |
