Connect the brake pipes and the brake cylinder pipes to the hydraulic unit > < Hydraulic unit, servo brake/brake cylinder - assembly overview

ABS MK 60
The brake cylinder and the servo brake may be independently replaced.
  WARNING
Always replace self-locking nuts and screws subject to angular torque
   
1 - Brake pipe connection
q   Brake cylinder/pressure plunger loop to the hydraulic unit
q   Identification in the hydraulic unit -DK-
2 - Brake pipe connection
q   Hydraulic unit for left front brake caliper
q   Identification in the hydraulic unit -VL-
3 - Brake pipe connection
q   Hydraulic unit for right front brake caliper
q   Identification in the hydraulic unit -VR-
4 - Brake pipe connection
q   Brake cylinder/floating plunger loop for the hydraulic unit
q   Identification in the hydraulic unit -SK-
5 - Brake fluid reservoir
6 - Plug
7 - Sealing plug
q   moisten with brake fluid and press in the brake cylinder
8 - Servo brake
q   On gasoline engines, the vacuum required is removed from the intake manifold.
q   Check the operation
q   Press the brake pedal several times until the end with the engine stopped (This eliminates any remaining vacuum inside the device).
q   Now, keep the brake pedal pressed in the braking position with medium force and start the engine. When the servo brake is working properly, this can be felt with a foot on the brake pedal (the amplification is active).
q   in case of faults, replace completely
q   Check valve (in the vacuum hose) → Chapter
q   separate from the brake pedal → Chapter
q   remove and install → Chapter
9 - Sealing
q   to servo brake
10 - Self-locking hex head nut
q   replace
q   20 Nm
11 - Brake cylinder
q   cannot be repaired. In case of faults, replace completely.
q   remove and install → Chapter
12 - Retaining pin for the brake fluid reservoir
q   insert through the brake cylinder
13 - Sealing plug
q   Connection for vacuum hose
14 - Sealing ring
q   replace
15 - Self-locking hex head nut
q   replace
q   28 Nm
16 - Screws
q   8 Nm
17 - Self-locking hex head nut
q   replace
q   20 Nm
18 - Support
19 - Stud
q   Stud welded to the body
20 - Self-locking hex head nut
q   replace
q   20 Nm
21 - Support
22 - Brake pipe connection
q   Hydraulic unit for the left rear brake caliper / wheel cylinder
q   Identification in the hydraulic unit -HL-
23 - Brake pipe connection
q   Hydraulic unit for the right rear brake caliper / wheel cylinder
q   Identification in the hydraulic unit -HR-
24 - Stud
q   Stud welded to the body
25 - ABS hydraulic unit -N55- with ABS control unit - J104-.
q   In the hydraulic unit the ABS hydraulic pump -V64- and the intake and exhaust valves are checked through self-diagnosis
q   The ABS hydraulic pump -V64- and the valve block may not be separated
q   remove and install
q   When replacing the hydraulic unit, seal the old part with the plugs from the repair set number ET 1H0 698 311 A
q   Remove and install ABS control unit -J104- → Chapter.
