Gear selector mechanism - adjust
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Positioner -T10027-
For a proper fit, watch the following conditions:
l  Moving parts of selector mechanism and transmission elements must be in proper condition.
l  Selector mechanism must move freely.
l  The gearbox, clutch and clutch mechanism must also be in proper condition.
l  Gearbox in neutral position.

–  Secure locking mechanism on gear selector cable and gate selector cable by pulling forwards in direction of arrow 1 onto stop and then turn to left in direction of arrow 2 to lock.

Set selector shaft as follows:
–  Press selector shaft down in direction of arrow 1.
–  Turn right-angle piece -A- in direction of arrow 2 when pressing selector shaft down
–  Remove gaiter to selector lever of centre console

Set selector lever as follows:
–  Select neutral with selector lever.
–  Then guide Positioner -T10027- through hole-A- and into hole -B-.

–  Now turn locking mechanism on gear selector cable and gate selector cable to right onto stop (direction of arrow).
The spring will press the locking mechanism into normal position.

–  Turn right angled piece -A- back to original position (direction of arrow).
  N34-1535
–  Remove Positioner -T10027- of holes -A- and -B-.
–  Press cover with frame into console.
