Renewing crankshaft oil seal - pulley end
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Oil seal extractor -3240-
t  Fitting tool -T10022-
t  Press tool -T10022/1-
t  Spindle -T10022/2-

Removing
–  First remove main drive toothed belt → Chapter.
–  Then remove crankshaft toothed belt pulley.
–  To guide oil seal extractor -3240-, screw crankshaft toothed belt pulley securing bolt into crankshaft to stop.
–  Screw inner part of oil seal extractor -3240- two turns (approx. 3 mm) out of outer part and lock using knurled screw.
   
–  Lubricate threaded head of oil seal extractor -3240-, place it in position and exerting firm pressure, screw it as far as possible into oil seal.
–  Loosen knurled screw and turn inner part against crankshaft until the oil seal is pulled out.
Installing
–  Lightly oil sealing lip of new oil seal.

–  Fit assembly tool -T10022- onto crankshaft journal and turn spindle -T10022/2- in to stop.
–  Slide oil seal over assembly tool.

–  Press in oil seal onto stop with press piece -T10022/1-.
–  Install main drive toothed belt → Chapter.
