Checking sequence

–	Remove engine cover in the direction of -arrow-.

–	Turn off vacuum tube of exhaust gas return valve

–	Connect Hand-operated vacuum pump -V.A.G 1390/- to vacuum tube.

–	Activate pump. Membrane must move towards Vacuum connection (Check direction on the bottom).

–	Disconnect vacuum pump hose of exhaust gas return valve. Valve closing must be clearly Audible. (Membrane moves towards Exhaust gas elbow.)
