For jobs to be performed on fuel supplying/injection, the following “6 cleaning rules” must be strictly respected: |
t
Carefully clean connection points and surrounding areas before disconnecting them.
t
Removed parts must be placed on a clean surface and be covered. Do not use clothes that tear residues off!
t
In case repair jobs are not going to be performed immediately, carefully cover parts or keep them in proper place.
t
Install only clean parts: Replacement parts must only be removed from packaging immdiately before installation. Do not install parts that have been kept out of packaging (i.e. in tool boxes).
t
In case of an open system: Avoid working with compressed air. Avoid moving vehicle.
t
Ensure there is no contact between diesel and cooling hoses. If that happens, hoses must be immediately clean. Damaged hoses must be replaced.
