Tighten the fastening nut (dodecagonal). > < Fastening nut (dodecagonal) of the drive semi-shaft - loosen and tighten
Loosen the fastening nut (dodecagonal).
Loosen the fastening nut (dodecagonal).
   
–  With the vehicle still sitting on its wheels, loosen the fastening nut (dodecagonal) -arrow- by, at the most, 90° (1/4 turn), so as not to damage the wheel bearing.
  WARNING
Loosen the dodecagonal nut only by „90º at the most“, or (1/4 turn), so as not to damage the wheel hub and bearing
t  For vehicles with ABS, use the 36mm grooved socket -T 10125- or 36mm grooved socket (Gedore ref. D32-36).
t  For vehicles without ABS brakes, use the 30mm grooved socket (Gedore ref. D32-30).
–  Elevate the vehicle until the front axel is unloaded (wheels suspended) → Booklet22.1 .
And follow the following instructions:
t  Activate the brake pedal and at the same time hold the steering wheel so that the wheels are straight ahead, with help from a second person
t  Loosen and completely remove the fastening nut (dodecagonal).
  WARNING
t  When the fastening nuts (dodecagonal ) of the drive semi-shafts are loosened from the external sides of their wheels, the wheel hub and bearing set must not be overloaded. However, the vehicle must have its wheels suspended to avoid damage to the wheel hub and bearing (thus reducing the useful life of the set)
t  Vehicles without their semi-drive shafts with constant velocity joints must not be moved
