| Compress the helical spring by using the Compressor
device or VW 5340 -VAG 1752/1- until the axial
ball bearing on the upper part is free. |

| Remove the hexagonal nut from the shock absorber rod. |

| Remove the suspension column parts and spring individually
with the Compressor device or VW 5340 -VAG 1752/1-. |

WARNING | Initially, tension the spring until the upper spring plate
pressure is relieved. |
