  Note
t  Repairs in the steering box are not expected. In case of complaints, the steering box must be replaced
t  To lubricate the rack, use only Grease for steering box -AOF 063 000 04- Refer to the → Chemicals Manual
t  Replace self-locking nuts and screws subject to angular torque
t  Type of oil: Hydraulic oil -G 004 000 M2-. Refer to the → Chemicals Manual
t  Oil filling capacity in the system: approx. 0.8 liters
   
1 - Screw
q   8 Nm
2 - Heat shield
q   Only for some markets

3 - Gasket
q   Replace after each removal
4 - Power steering sensor -G250-
q   Remove and install → Chapter
q   Check operation with the Diagnosis, Measurement and Information System -VAS 5051- or Diagnosis, Measurement and Information System -VAS 5052- or later equipment → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
5 - Screw
q   6 Nm
6 - Hexagonal nut
q   20 Nm + 90°
q   Replace after each removal
7 - Steering arm
8 - Pressure hose
9 - Hollow screw
q   38 ± 4 Nm
10 - Gasket
q   Replace after each removal
11 - Connecting screw
q   30 Nm
12 - Seal
q   Replace after each removal
13 - Return hose
14 - Steering box
q   Remove and install → Chapter
15 - Auxiliary frame (sub-frame)
q   different versions

q   Remove and install → Chapter
16 - Hexagonal head screw
q   50 Nm + 90°
q   Replace after each removal
