Electrohydraulic steering box (JTEKT) - disassemble and assemble
1 - Steering terminal of linkage bar (right side)
q   Marked with „C“
q   Check: → Chapter
q   Note the assembly position → Anchor
2 - Hexagonal nut
q   50 ± 5 Nm
3 - Clamp
q   Replace after each removal
4 - Protective bellows
q   Must not be twisted after adjusting the alignment
q   Remove the steering box to replace it
5 - Clamp
q   To replace, open with pliers
q   Fasten → Chapter
6 - Gasket
7 - Screw
q   8 Nm
8 - Heat shield
q   Only for some markets
q   See: → Electronic Parts Catalogue„ETKA“
9 - Right steering yoke
q   80 ± 8 Nm
q   Remove and install → Chapter
q   Supplied as a pre-adjusted replacement part
q   Align vehicle → Chapter
10 - Clamp with nuts
q   Replace if threads are damaged
11 - Rubber bearing
12 - Steering box
q   Remove and install → Chapter
13 - Gasket
q   Replace after each removal
14 - Power steering sensor -G250-
q   Remove and install → Chapter
q   Check operation with the Diagnosis, Measurement and Information System -VAS 5051- or Diagnosis, Measurement and Information System -VAS 5052- or later equipment → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
15 - Screw
q   6 Nm
16 - Steering terminal of linkage bar (left side)
q   Marked with „D“
q   Check: → Chapter
q   Note the assembly position → Anchor
17 - Left steering yoke
q   80 ± 8 Nm
q   Remove and install → Chapter
q   Supplied as a pre-adjusted replacement part
q   Check length and adjust → Chapter
