Radio -R-„BETA“ and „GAMMA“ - anti-theft system
The Radio -R- is equipped with an electronic anti-theft system.
After the electronic anti-theft system is activated for the first time, an internal code is memorized on the Radio -R- and the vehicle's combined instrument. If, during the repair work, the Radio -R- radio experiences a power outage (for example, when removing the radio or the battery), data is exchanged between the radio and the instrument panel after the supply voltage is reestablished.
This way, the comparison is made between the internal code from the Radio -R- and the combined instrument. If the code is exactly the same, the panel compartment recognizes that the Radio -R- connected belongs to the vehicle. The radio is immediately activated without needing to enter the anti-theft code.
  Note
t  Each Radio -R- has its own code.
t  The anti-theft system code is stored in the Radio -R- card along with the equipment ID number → Radio instruction manual.
t  For security reasons, the Radio -R- card should not be kept inside the vehicle. If necessary, request the code from the client.
t  If a Radio -R- is replaced, the replacement equipment code must be used.
t  The customer must be informed that the code number was changed.
The anti-theft system is activated and blocks the Radio -R- whenever:
t  the Battery -A- is disconnected.
t  the Radio -R- is removed from the vehicle.
t  the Combined instrument -K- is replaced.
