Main headlights (►06/11) - correct the assembly position
Main headlights (►06/11) - correct the assembly position
  Note
t  To correct the headlight assembly position, it is not necessary to remove the front bumper.
t  Correcting the assembly position of the headlight lamps is identical on both sides; the procedure below refers only to one of the headlights.
If the assembly position inspection indicates that the headlight clearance dimension in relation to the body is not even, correct, then, the assembly position.
–  Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment, and remove the key from ignition.
–  Remove the radiator grille → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.66.
   
–  Loosen the fastening screw -arrow- from the headlight, on the upper section.

–  Release the fastening screws -arrows-.
–  Remove the front bumper left side protection trim → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.63.

–  Release the fastening screw -arrow- from the headlight, on the side, by pulling the bumper covering carefully forward.

–  Loosen the fastening screw -arrow- from the headlight, on the lower section.
–  Align, in relation to the body, moving the headlight to the corresponding position.
–  Tighten the fastening screws in the order indicated below: upper fastening screw to (4 Nm), lower and side fastening screw to (3.5 Nm).
–  Check the headlight assembly position for clearance uniformity. If necessary, correct.
–  Install the radiator grille → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.66.
–  Mount the front bumper left side protection trim → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.63.
–  Check the headlight operation.
  Note
After adjusting the headlight relative to the body, the headlights must be adjusted → Chapter.
