Control unit for the on-board electrical system -J519-
The Control unit for the on-board electrical system -J519- is located behind the dashboard, under the relay carrier.
General description:
The Control unit for the on-board electrical system -J519- has the following functions:
t  Management of the electric load
t  Command of internal lighting
t  Command of the pre-supply fuel pump
t  Command of windscreen washer and wiper, timer drive, and rain sensor
t  Heating of exterior mirror, and rear window
t  Seat heating control
t  Command of flashing and warning light
t  Horn command
t  Speed programmer (transforms signals for the CAN-Bus data network)
t  Remote unlocking of rear lid
t  Dashboard and Combined instrument -K- lighting
t  Electric window drive data
t  Diagnosis interface for the data bus -J533-
Locating defects and indicating faults:
The Control unit for the on-board electrical system -J519- is equipped with a self-diagnosis function.
For troubleshooting, use the Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051- or the Vehicle diagnosis and technical information system -VAS 5052- or later equipment.
–  Connect the Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051- or the Vehicle diagnosis and technical information system -VAS 5052- or later equipment → General informationl; Rep. gr.97 on the 16-pin diagnostic connection -T16-.
