Interactive System control unit -J879-
The Interactive System control unit -J879- is located behind the glove box in the instrument panel.
General description:
The Interactive System control unit -J879- is in charge of the following vehicle functions:
t  Speed control
t  Consumption and mileage control
t  Maintenance control
t  Door locking control
t  Closing, opening and pressure release for door windows
t  Light signal control
t  Parking sensor control
t  Sound signal control
Locating defects and indicating faults:
The Interactive System control unit -J879- is equipped with a self-diagnosis function.
For troubleshooting, use the Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051- or the Vehicle diagnosis and technical information system -VAS 5052- or later equipment.
–  Connect the Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051- or the Vehicle diagnosis and technical information system -VAS 5052- or later equipment → General informationl; Rep. gr.97 on the 16-pin diagnostic connection -T16-.
