A visual examination of the external condition, connection
and installation terminals of the Battery -A-is indispensable before carrying out extensive measurements. |
Caution t
| Incorrect installation of the Battery -A- may damage it. |
t
| Vibration reduces the useful life of the battery -A-, and may result in risk of explosion, damage the
plates and cells and causes the installation support to damage the battery -A- housing. |
t
| Check Battery -A-installation.
If necessary, tighten the fastening screw with the specified torque. |
|
A visual verification should be carried out: |
t
| Check whether the Battery -A- housing
is damaged. If the battery -A- housing
is damaged, the acid may leak. Spilt electrolyte may cause serious
damage to the vehicle. If necessary, neutralize the effects caused
by the acid with a soap solution. |
t
| Check whether the terminals and poles of the battery -A- are damaged. If they are damaged, the necessary
contact between the poles and the terminals is not assured. During
connection of the poles of the battery -A-, ensure that they are tightened in accordance with the torque specified
in the repair manual. If the terminals of the poles of the Battery -A- are not correctly slotted and tightened,
the cables could be burnt, thus giving rise to operational faults
in the electrical system, which could compromise the correct operation
of the vehicle. |
