Before turning piston back, draw off brake fluid from reservoir. Otherwise, particularly if reservoir has been topped up, fluid will overflow and cause damage.

Turn piston to right into brake caliper with piston resetting appliance -T20146-; do not damage protective cap.

Thoroughly clean contact surfaces -arrows- of brake pads.

Pull protective foil off brake pad backplate.

Insert brake pads into brake carrier.
–
Screw brake caliper to brake carrier with new securing bolts, counter-holding at guide pin.

The repair kit includes 4 self-locking hexagon bolts which must always be installed.

Push handbrake cable into bracket on brake caliper until both locking lugs -arrows- engage.

Push handbrake lever in direction of -arrow- and attach handbrake cable onto handbrake lever.
Every time after changing pads, depress brake pedal firmly several times with vehicle stationary, so that brake pads are properly seated in their normal operating position.

Check brake fluid level after changing brake pads.
