Removing
–  Remove centre dash panel trim → Rep. gr.68.
   
–  Remove bolts -1-.
–  Remove centre console cover → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.68.
–  Detach connectors from controls for fresh and heated air -2-.

–  Release flexible shafts -1- for air distribution and temperature flaps from heated air and fresh air controls -2-.
  Note
t  When the flexible shafts are installed, the actuators and rotary knobs on the heated air and fresh air controls must be positioned correctly relative to each other, or the system will malfunction.
t  The flexible shaft connection -3- is referred to as „terminal“.
