Distinguishing between clutch pedal switches

Distinguishing between clutch pedal switches
-A- = Up to week 44.09, »without light dome« on plunger head -arrow-
l  Pull plunger out fully prior to installation.
-B- = From week 45.09 onwards, »with light dome« on plunger head -arrow-
l  Plunger is not allowed to be pulled out.

l  Grease plunger head.
l  Allocate grease using → Electronic parts catalogue (ETKA).
l  Clutch pedal must always remain in rest position when clutch pedal switch is being installed. Clutch pedal is only allowed to be touched with plunger head of clutch pedal switch during entire installation procedure.
Polo 2002 ►
   
Clutch pedal switch is installed from passenger compartment.
–  Guide clutch pedal switch-2- through access hole in mounting bracket and use plunger head -3- to press it against pedal -4-. Then turn clutch pedal switch 45° to right until you can feel it engage.
–  Push on connector -1- for clutch pedal switch.

Polo 2010 ►
  N30-10073
Clutch pedal switch is installed from bulkhead.
–  Insert clutch pedal switch into mounting bracket support and turn 45° in -direction of arrow-.
–  Push connector onto clutch pedal switch.

Continuation for all
–  Install footwell vent → Heating, air conditioning; Rep. gr.80.
–  Install driver side footwell cover → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.68.
