Removing and installing cowling with radiator fanV7
Removing and installing cowling with radiator fan -V7-
Removing
   
–  Unscrew securing bolts -arrows- for air intake -1- and remove connecting hose -2- to air filter.
–  Bring lock carrier into service position → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.50.

–  Remove hose clamps -1- and »hot side« connecting hose to charge air pipe.
–  Separate radiator fan connector.

–  Disconnect cowling with radiator fan -V7- from retaining tab using a suitable tool.
–  Remove cowling with radiator fan -V7-.
Proceed as follows if radiator fan is to be renewed.
–  Remove connector for radiator fan from retainer.

–  Push pins out of spreader rivets -arrows-.
–  Carefully lift up fan ring on back of cowling using a suitable tool.
–  Remove fan ring.

–  Unscrew nuts -arrows- and remove radiator fan.
Installing
l  The fan frame must engage audibly on the right and left at the top.
Install in reverse order.
–  Check that it has engaged securely by pulling on it.
