General notes
The communication systems in the Polo essentially include the radio unit or the radio navigation system, the telephone system, the aerial system, the loudspeaker systems and the multimedia system control unit.
Some equipment is optional so not all systems are installed in every vehicle.

t  When faced with complaints, it is absolutely necessary to understand the functions and how to operate the communication systems.

t  In the event of repair work or fault finding, use → vehicle diagnosis, testing and information systemVAS 5051 or vehicle diagnosis and service information systemVAS 5052 in „Guided fault finding“ mode → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations.
