General description:
   
The wiper motor control unit -J400- and the windscreen wiper motor -V- are combined to form one unit.
To remove the wiper blades, the wiper arms should be placed in the „service/winter position“. The „service/winter position“ is activated within 10 seconds after ignition is switched off by pressing windscreen wiper switch in „tip wipe“ position → Operating manual of vehicle.
On vehicles with bonnet contact switch -F266-, the windscreen wiper system can only be operated when bonnet is closed. The bonnet contact switch -F266- depends on equipment and is not fitted in all vehicles.
Fault detection and fault display:
The onboard supply control unit -J519- features self-diagnosis to facilitate fault finding.
For fault finding, use vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051A- in „Guided fault finding“ mode.
