How to Use Wiring Diagrams
Volkswagen wiring diagrams are divided into two types; the Main diagram and Optional Equipment diagrams.
The Main diagram is a complete "stand alone" diagram. They contain their own component locations by track number, ground and welded harness point
references. These references do not apply to Optional Equipment diagrams.
Optional Equipment diagrams are complete "stand alone" diagrams. They contain their own component locations by track number, ground and welded
harness point references. The Optional diagram track numbers do not apply to the Main diagram. Any reference to the Main diagram will be stated.
Main diagrams are found at the vehicle level under Diagrams / Electrical / Main Diagrams.
Optional Equipment diagrams are listed below the Main diagram section by their respective names and are also located in the specific system to which
they apply.
