Headliner: Service and Repair

Headliner

Removing

-

If present, open sunroof.

-

Switch off ignition.

-

Remove lights and switch in molded headliner

-

Remove roof end strip

-

Remove upper right A-pillar trim

-

Loosen left A-pillar trim in molded headliner transition area.

-

Remove upper B-pillar trim. Belt anchors or front belt anchor rails do not have to be removed

2-door only

-

Remove seat bench.

-

Remove backrest.

-

Remove side trim.

-

Remove luggage compartment cover side compartment.

-

Remove C-pillar trim.

4-door only

-

Remove airbag emblems - 1 - from both C-pillar trims and remove bolts from each - 2 - (4 Nm).

NOTE:  When re-installing, airbag emblems - 1 - must be replaced.

Remove nuts - 3 - from each (1.5 Nm).

-

Loosen trim from nut threaded pins - 3 - - arrow A -.

-

Remove trim from mounts - arrow B - and door seal molding.

NOTE:  Completely removing C-pillar trim is not necessary on 4-door vehicles.
