Fluid Pump: Service and Repair
Oil Pump - 02E, 6 Speed DSG A/T AWD

Removing
Short description
Oil pump can be replaced without removing transmission. Vehicle must be raised and any covers installed on bottom of front end must be removed.
The control arm to suspension strut connection must not be separated. Do not remove the drive shaft either. It is not necessary to "perform basic
calibration". Only the DSG oil and pump cover have to be replaced.

Remove the noise insulation if necessary.

Remove lower part of left front wheel housing liner.

Place the Used Oil Collection and Extraction Device V.A.G 1782 under the transmission.

Remove bolt -A- near pendulum support.
Up to transmission production date "September 20, 2004", transmissions with two bolts were installed.
Following that, the second bolt was discontinued and the oil is drained and the oil level is checked only with the -A- bolt.
The oil level in the transmission is determined with the length of the plastic overflow tube with 8 mm hex socket head (tightening specification 3 Nm).

Draining oil

Install the overflow tube and tighten by hand, tightening specification: 3 Nm

Replace bolt seal -arrow-

Leave the Used Oil Collection and Extraction Device V.A.G 1782 under the transmission.
