Selector Shaft Lever Sealing Ring, Replacing - 02E, 6 Speed DSG A/T AWD

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Tube VW 423

^

Pulling hook T20143

^

Torque wrench V.A.G 1331

-

Remove selector lever cable from transmission.

-

Carefully pry lever -A- off from the selector shaft.

-

Pry out sealing ring.

-

Lightly oil the outer circumference of the new seal.

-

Fill half of volume between sealing lip and dust lip with sealing grease G 052 128

-

Drive new seal in as far as the stop; be sure not to distort seal.

-

Install lever and tighten to 20 Nm.

Lever of selector shaft fits on to splines only in one position.

-

Install selector lever cable on transmission and adjust.
