Rear Window Wiper Arm

Rear Window Wiper Arm

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

-

Torque Wrench V.A.G 1331

Removing

-

Allow the wiper to move to the park position.

-

Disconnect battery Removal and Installation.

-

Fold cover cap - 1 - of rear window wiper up and unclip it.

-

Loosen nut - arrow - but do not remove completely.

-

Lift wiper arm and loosen by gently rocking back and forth on shaft until felt to release.

-

Remove nut - arrow - and remove the wiper arm.

Installing

-

With the ignition on, switch the rear windshield wiper on and off again to move the wiper motor into the park position.

-

Insert wiper arm on wiper arm shaft at approximate rest position and hand-tighten mounting nut - arrow -.

NOTE:  Only tighten the wiper arm mounting nut - arrow - to the specification after adjusting the park position.

-

Set rest position of rear window wiper.
