About the Rabbit
Rabbit was Volkswagen's name for the Golf in the United States and Canada for two generations: the original Mk1, and the Mk5, when the name returned in 2006. The Mk1 range included a convertible and a Golf-based pickup.
What these manuals cover
- 1982–1983 (Mk1): the 1.7-litre petrol four and the 1.6-litre diesel, in the hatchback, convertible and pickup.
- 2006–2008 (Mk5): the 2.5-litre five-cylinder.
Tip: the Golf manuals cover the generations in between.
