Using a Multimeter, check the following wire connections for an open circuit.

Leak Detection Pump V144

Motronic Engine Control Module (ECM) J623 

Harness connector terminal

electrical connector T121 terminal or test box socket

Specified value: Wire resistance max 1.5 Ohms.

If the specification is not obtained:

-

Check the wiring for a short circuit to Battery positive (+) or an open circuit.

-

If necessary, repair the wiring connection.

If no malfunction is found in wiring:

-

Replace the Engine Control Module (ECM) J623 Engine Control Module (ECM) J623 replacing.

Assembly is performed in the reverse order of the removal, note the following:

-

Install the left rear wheel housing liner.

Final procedures

After the repair work, the following work steps must be performed in the following sequence:

1. Check the DTC memory. See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Scan Tool Testing and Procedures/Diagnostic Mode 03:

Interrogating Fault Memory

2. If necessary, erase the DTC memory. See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Scan Tool Testing and Procedures/Diagnostic

Mode 04: Reset/Delete Diagnostic Data

3. If the DTC memory was erased, generate readiness code. See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Monitors, Trips, Drive
