Fuel Injectors, Removing and Installing

Fuel Injectors, Removing And Installing

Removing

NOTE:

-

Observe safety precautions.

-

Observe the rules for cleanliness.

-

Check whether a coded radio is installed. If necessary, obtain the anti-theft coding.

-

Disconnect battery.

-

Remove engine cover with air filter.

CAUTION:  Fuel supply line is under pressure: Wear protective goggles and protective clothing to prevent injuries and contact with skin.
Before loosening the fuel lines, place a rag around the connection point. Then release pressure by carefully pulling hose off connection.

Disconnect vent line - 2 - and fuel supply line - 3 -. Press in securing ring to disengage lines.

-

Disconnect connectors -1 -, - 2 - and - 6 -.

-

Remove wiring harness - 3 - from transport strap.

-

Pull clamps - 4 - and retaining ring - 5 - out of locking mechanism.

-

Remove bolts - 7 - and remove transport strap.

-

Remove bolts -1 - and pull fuel rail with fuel injectors evenly out of intake manifold.

-

Seal or cover openings in intake manifold.
