Selector Mechanism Overview

Selector mechanism 09G, 6 Speed A/T

CAUTION!  Shift selector lever into position "P" and engage parking brake before working with the engine running.

Shift cover with knob

Do not remove knob if not necessary. For the emergency release, only the cover must be unclipped.

Before removing knob, pull button past pressure point and secure using cable tie or suitable wire. This prevents the button from being pressed
into handle unintentionally.

If button is pushed in when knob is removed:

Before attaching knob, always pull out button past tangible pressure point
