Headlamp Control Module: Service and Repair

HID Headlamp Control Module

NOTE:  Left High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module J343 and Right High intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module J344 is not
capable of On Board Diagnostic (OBD).

Removing

-

Remove headlamp

-

Remove mounting bolts - arrows - of High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module - 1 -.

NOTE:  While removing High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module, no harness connectors must be disconnected. Harness connector is
installed permanently on headlamp and is automatically disconnected when removing High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module.

Remove High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module - 1 - from headlamp.

Installing

CAUTION:  Make sure seal has proper seating when installing High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module. It is destroyed by ingress
of water into headlamp.

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Check headlamp for function.

Perform basic setting of headlamp
