Pry out sealing ring using screwdriver -A-, while doing this support screwdriver at assembly tool 3253/2.

Note:

Do not damage sleeve, otherwise leaks will occur.

^

If damaged, replace sleeve

Installing

Drive new seal in as far as stop; be sure not to distort seal.

-

Fill area between sealing lip and dust lip halfway with sealing grease G 052 128 A1.

-

Insert flange shaft.

-

Secure flange shaft with countersunk bolt.

-

If you have removed turbocharger oil return line at engine, re-install it now -arrow-.

-

Install drive axle -1- to flange shaft.

-

If equipped, install drive axle shield.

-

Check and fill gear oil.

-

Install noise insulation.

Tightening torque

Flange shaft to transmission (countersunk screw) 25 Nm
