Trunk Lamp Switch: Service and Repair

Luggage Compartment Lamps and Switches

Luggage Compartment Lamp (W3)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)

‹› The luggage compartment light is located in the left side trim panel. 

‹› When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( ( VAS 3409),

screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removing:

-

Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

-

Pry the light out of the side luggage compartment trim using (VAS 3409) or a screwdriver.

-

Disengage and disconnect the harness connector - arrow - and remove the Luggage Compartment Lamp.
