Before starting work, stabilizer bars must be coupled in vehicles with decouplable stabilizer bars. Otherwise, there is the danger of injury caused by
unintentional coupling.

-

Remove wheel.

-

Remove lower control arm - 2 - from wheel bearing housing, remove bolt - 1 - to do so.

-

Install wood block between control arm - arrow - and wheel bearing housing.

CAUTION!
Without this wood block inserted, there is the danger of injury when lower control arm moves back to initial position.

Install tools onto wheel bearing housing, as shown in illustration.

1. Nut T10230/2
2. Press piece T10230/13
3. Thrust pad T10230/6
4. Tube T10230/5
5. Press piece T10230/4
6. Tube T10230/3
7. Thrust plate T10230/7
8. Hydraulic Press VAS 6178 with Pressure Head T10205/13

CAUTION!
Before pressing out, place Engine/transmission jack V.A.G. 1383 A with universal mount underneath cylinder, cylinder may fall down at end
of pressing out procedure.

Press out bonded rubber bushing.
