Bearing Seal/Service and Repair

Shim

‹› 2 mm thick

Drive plate

‹› Use crankshaft holder (3242) to loosen  and tighten --> [ Drive Plate ] See: Drive Plate, Drive plate, removing and installing

Washer

‹› 3.4 mm thick

30 Nm plus an additional 1/4 turn (90°) 

‹› Replace

10 Nm

Cylinder block

Oil pan

Bolt

‹› M7 = 15 Nm

‹› M8 = 22 Nm

Roller chain

‹› Before removing, mark the direction of rotation, e.g. with paint 

‹› Do not mark using a center punch or similar means

Chain sprocket

‹› For crankshaft

Thrust collar

‹› If signs of wear exist, pull off and turn around or replace

Gasket

‹› Replace

Sealing flange (belt pulley side)

‹› To remove and install, remove oil pan --> [ Oil Pan, Assembly Overview ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Engine Lubrication/Oil

Pan/Service and Repair

‹› Must be located on alignment bushings

‹› Before installing, remove oil remains from crankshaft journal with  a clean cloth

O-ring
