Removing and installing trim for locking mechanism
Removing and installing trim for locking mechanism
  Note
t  Removal and installation are illustrated for the left side. The right side is analogous.
t  For greater clarity, trim is shown in its installation location.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Removing wedge -3409-
Removing
–  Remove rear seat backrest → Chapter.
–  Remove head restraint → Chapter.
–  Open backrest cover completely at rear → Chapter.
–  Remove head restraint guide → Chapter.
–  Roll backrest cover back over cushion so that cushion is exposed.
–  Press cushion gently downwards until catches are visible.

–  Release catches -2- of trim -1- using removing wedge -3409- or screwdriver.
–  Remove trim -1- upwards from rear seat backrest.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
