TIPS ON USING THE CASSETTE PLAYER

The player is suitable for use with Fe (ferric oxide), Cr (chrome dioxide) and FeCr (Ferro-chrome) tapes.

In order to ensure trouble-free cassette operation you should use only cassettes specially made for use in cars. These cassettes are very resistant to
extreme temperatures and have, in addition, a special safety arrangement which prevents the tape from working loose and getting tangled. These
cassettes can be recognized by the lettering SM or FOR CAR on the plastic case.

Music cassettes are not very suitable for use in vehicles because they usually have no detent mechanism. Furthermore, use cassettes up to a maximum
playing time of 90 minutes (C-90 cassettes). Very suitable are 60 minute cassettes (C-60).

Cassettes must never be left in the car for long periods at very low (below -10c) or very high temperatures (above +50c). Direct exposure to sunshine
must also be avoided. Cassettes are best stored in the plastic case or in boxes with reel detents.

If, after being in use for a considerable time (approx. 50 hours) high notes are reproduced distorted, the sound head may be soiled with particles from the
tape. This dirt can be removed with a cleaning cassette. Use only high quality cleaning cassettes and follow the manufacturers instructions closely.
