Use of improper hose clamps could damage coolant hoses and possibly cause coolant leaks...

Clamps with open serrations grip and tear hose through the serrations (Fig. 1).

Proper hose clamps (closed serration type) are available through the Parts Department.

If coolant hose clamps are acquired from local suppliers, make sure the clamps are of the closed serration type (Fig. 2).
